| Acciona builds Murcia light railway  Acciona Infrastructure, the Acciona division specialised in developing and managing infrastructure, is part of a joint venture that has been awarded the contract for the experimental section of the Murcia urban light railway (tramway). Acciona designed the project so that it can be built in just six months, between October 2006 and April 2007. On Wednesday, 20 September, the Murcia city government is scheduled to approve the specifications for the design of the first phase of the tramway, following construction of the experimental section.The tramway terminal will be in Plaza Circular, and the line will serve the Espinardo-El Puntal and UCAM-Guadalupe-La Ñora university campuses as well as the residential and amenity areas in the north of the city and the new municipal football stadium. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
