| Impregilo approved half-year report The Impregilo S.p.A. Board of Directors approved the financial report for the half-year to 30 June 2006. Consolidated net profit of 168.8 million euro (against a net loss of 328.5 million euro in the 2005 half-year). Impregilo, Italy's largest construction company, closed the first half of 2006 with net sales of 1,197.0 million euro, (from 1,137.8 million euro). Group EBIT was 69.6 million euro, compared with negative EBIT of 168.4 million euro in the year-earlier first half. The return on sales was 5.8%. Group contracting backlog of 13.6 billion euro, consisting of 8.8 billion euro of orders in Construction, Plant, Building & Services (an increase of 40% over the end of 2005) and 4.8 billion euro for the Concessions business. The Impregilo Group closed the first half of 2006 with important operating and net results, thanks to the success of its restructuring and recovery in the second half of 2005.
