Metabo introduces new longer-lasting Super Slicer

Metabo Corporation introduces a new version of its Super Slicer cutting wheel that outperforms its predecessor by more than 50%. By reformulating the blend of abrasives, the Super Slicer cutting wheel now lasts up to 50% longer without suffering degradation to the speed of cut. The improved Slicer Wheel provides maximum performance when cutting extremely hard and heavy gauge metals, such as stainless or abrasion resistant steels, high-tensile alloys and hastelloy. Metabo has also reformulated the other components of its Choice Cuts line to provide users with longer-lasting Slicer Wheels.

Reformulations of the Original Slicer and Slicer Plus wheelsresulted in increased performance of 40 and 33% respectively. The Original Slicer is .040" thick and is ideal for general purpose cutting of ferrous materials such as tubing, piping, rebar, and smaller diameter rods.

The Slicer-Plus is a .045" thick cutting wheel. Its coated grain and proprietary bond system make it capable of performing thicker sectional cuts, and cutting large diameter rods, and stainless steels.

All of the job-matched Slicer Wheels in the Choice Cuts family are available in 4.5" x 7/8" and 6" x 7/8" diameters. The Original Slicer and Slicer Plus are offered in Type 1 and Type 27 versions, while the Super Slicer is available as a Type 1 cutting wheel.
