Black & Veatch commences second project in Liuzhou

Black & Veatch announced that its water business has commenced working on Package A of the World Bank-funded Liuzhou Environment Management Project.

The assignment will focus on strengthening the institutional, financial and operational management of the Liuzhou Municipal Wastewater Treatment Company (LMWTC), an autonomous company that was established less than two years ago to provide urban wastewater collection and treatment services.

Earlier this year Black & Veatch started working on Package B of the Liuzhou Environment Management Project, providing advice on design review and construction management of wastewater facilities, and developing project management capacity.

Black & Veatch will be responsible for further developing and refining the Liuzhou's business plan and designing and assisting the implementation of key business processes and practices. The project is scheduled for completion in 2010.
