| New Pyro-Putty hgh temp metal repair compound Pyro-Putty 2400, a new high temperature, metal repair compound and sealant developed by Aremco Products, is used to repair cast iron, steel and stainless steel components used in automotive, truck, marine, and industrial applications to 2000°F. Pyro-Putty 2400 is a ceramic and stainless steel filled, high temperature, thermally conductive paste used to bond, seal and repair defects up to 3/8" in cross-section in cast iron, steel and stainless steel components and structures up to 2000ºF. Pyro-Putty 2400 is a single part, thermally shock resistant paste that will not decompose at high temperatures. It is a water-based material that contains no volatile organic compounds. It sets at room temperature and cures in-situ or by heating to 200ºF for 2-4 hours. It can be machined and painted after curing.
