| Rittal offers new climate control package Rittal has added innovative nanotechnology to air conditioning systems for a new climate control package that can be used in some of the toughest industrial environments where dust and oil-laden air can clog condenser coils. Rittal's TopTherm air conditioners are now being manufactured with a condenser coil designed with RiNano, a protective coating with water, dirt and oil-repellent properties. When applied to air conditioners, RiNano ensures long-term constant cooling performance, as well as savings in service and maintenance time and costs. RiNano reduces contamination to the condenser coils and is significantly easier to clean than standard surfaces. RiNano coatings are comprised of different classes of nanoparticles, which form a solid homogeneous bond with the condenser surface of the TopTherm air conditioners. The resulting surface is an ultra thin, glass-like layer with a landscape of nanoscale-sized peaks and valleys. With this technology, water simply forms pearl-like droplets and runs off. Aggressive environmental influences such as oily ambient air can also be contained. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
