| OCI posts 53% growth in consolidated net income Egyptian cement producer and construction contractor Orascom Construction Industries announced consolidated revenue of EGP 6,989.5 million (US$ 1,214.9 million) with earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of EGP 2,025.9 million (US$ 352.1 million) and net income of EGP 1,208.6 million (US$ 210.1 million) for the six months ended 30 June 2006. During the same period last year, OCI reported consolidated revenue of EGP 5,365.0 million (US$ 915.5 million) with EBITDA of EGP 1,305.5 million (US$ 222.8 million) and net income of EGP 789.7 million (US$ 134.8 million). OCI also reported consolidated revenue of EGP 3,703.3 million (US$ 643.7 million) with EBITDA of EGP 1,086.5 (US$ 188.8 million) and net income of EGP 683.7 million (US$ 118.8 million) for the second quarter ended 30 June 2006.
