| Parsons won two development contracts from DOE Parsons has been retained by the Department of Energy (DOE) to develop two advanced technologies that could potentially reduce cleanup costs and increase the safety and efficiency of radioactive waste treatment and disposal. The two technologies, Continuous Sludge Leaching and Near Tank Cesium Removal, would significantly increase the throughput and efficiency of the DOE's Waste Treatment Plant at the Hanford Site in Washington, and the Defense Waste Processing Facility at the Savannah River Site in South Carolina. The estimated cumulative value of these 12 six-month, fixed-price contracts is $3.3 million, approximately $300,000 per contract. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
