| Leighton to build HQs for Australian armed forces Hochtief Group company Leighton is to assume responsibility for the construction and operation of the new Headquarters Joint Operations Command of the Australian armed forces. Leighton Contractors Pty Limited has a 50 percent stake in Praeco Pty Limited, the company formed specially to handle this project. The other 50 percent is held by ABN AMRO. The investment volume totals EUR 179 million. Construction work will commence in October 2006.
