Fluor gets disaster assistance contract by FEMA

Fluor Corporation announced that its Government Group had been awarded a new two-year contract by the Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The Individual Assistance Technical Assistance Contract (IA-TAC) will be for program and Disaster Recovery Center support, temporary housing group site design and construction, and for the hauling and installing of temporary housing units for future disasters anywhere in the United States and its territories.

The newly awarded contract, which was part of a multi-month, open procurement process, will go into effect on August 1, 2006 and have a contract ceiling of $250 million.
