Two contract awards for Technip in UK North Sea

Technip announces that its UK entity has been awarded contracts for two key developments located in the UK North Sea, which have a combined value of £67 million (95 million euros). The contract awards comprise the Oilexco Brenda and Maersk Affleck projects.

Brenda, operated by Oilexco North Sea Limited (Oilexco) is the first development to be undertaken by Oilexco since its entrance into the UK North Sea market in 2004. The Oilexco Brenda contract award requires the Brenda and Nicol fields to be tied back to the Balmoral Floating Production Vessel (FPV). Technip will manage the project and install an 8.7km production pipeline piggybacked with a gas lift pipeline.

Affleck, is operated by Maersk Oil North Sea UK Limited (Maersk Oil)(66.67%) with partner Talisman North Sea Limited (33.33%). The Maersk Affleck contract award requires Technip to tie-back the Affleck field to the existing Janice Floating Production Unit (FPU).

The development of the Brenda and Nicol fields will be completed in 2006. Affleck will be completed in 2007.
