| Landscape Gardener Cup at GaLaBau 2006  The competition for the Germany-wide Landscape Gardener Cup takes place for the third time as part of the GaLaBau in Nürnberg. Altogether 13 teams – one from each state association – meet in Nürnberg on 14-15 September.The task: to convert a nondescript area of 4 x 4 m into a small garden. All teams have the same instructions: create a wooden covering, build a dry wall of shell limestone quarry stones, build steps, lay clinker paving and create a planting area. The materials for the construction of the 13 gardens are provided by sponsors, who are mostly also exhibitors at GaLaBau – a commitment to young landscape gardeners (provided they comply with the age limit of 21 years) that pays off.
