| Acciona among the world's top 20 in sustainable services Acciona has been selected as one of the 20 leading companies in sustainable products and services by SustainableBusiness.com, which is based in Huntington, New York. The American online magazine, which specialises in analysing listed companies that are geared towards sustainable products and services, presented the 2006 SB20 list under the slogan: Companies Changing the World (for the better!). The list highlights the following sectors: Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency. Natural Resources: Water, Forests and Land Development. Natural Foods and Natural Products. Pharmaceuticals and Banks. Renewable energy is the hottest sustainable business sector this year; over half of the 2006 SB20 list consists of leaders in wind, solar, geothermal and biomass energy as well as energy efficiency. Acciona is the world's third largest wind project developer and is also a major player in solar project development, with emerging interests in biodiesel, biomass and small hydro.
