Strong Products displays new carpet raceway cover

Strong Products Group presented a new raceway cap option for its connectrac floor-mounted, electrical raceway systems. This new option allows users to adhere their own carpet to the exposed raceway cover, so that the innovative, floor-mounted raceways truly integrate with the floor covering in offices, schools, hospitals, libraries and beyond.

The connectrac systems now fully integrate with the user's carpeting, in addition to a choice of 10 standard Roppe textured rubber cover strips, giving the finished raceway systems multiple aesthetic options.

connectrac accommodates power and voice/data cabling in a visually seamless manner, without costly and/or labor-intensive core-drilling, trenching, raised floor systems or power poles. The connectrac floor-raceway system consists of a shallow track with a removable aluminum cap, forming a rectangular conduit to encase electrical wires. This low-rise conduit is supported by low-sloping ramps along each side that are placed underneath the existing carpeting, causing only a small, gradual rise in the floor surface and providing ADA compliance.

The floor covering in the room, typically broadloom carpet or carpet tiles, extends up over the ramps and seamlessly integrates with the aluminum raceway cap. The end result is an economical and unobtrusive means for users to have connectivity when and where it is needed. connectrac systems can be quickly and easily installed to match any workplace environment, and can also be rearranged and reused, making them ideal for permanent or temporary work space applications.
