| Mott MacDonald appointed for Saadiyat Island's water systems Mott MacDonald has been appointed by Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA) to oversee the development of Saadiyat Island's entire power and water distribution systems from conceptual design to construction supervision. The US$27 billion redevelopment of 27km squared Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi is being commissioned by the Tourism Development & Investment Company. The plan is to transform the Island into a bustling city by 2009.
