| WSP acquires three firms in Australia WSP Environmental, announces the acquisition of three specialist environmental businesses in Australia: Ark Consulting Pty Ltd (Ark), Responsive Environmental Solutions Pty Ltd (RES) and ESH Connect Australasia Pty Ltd (RegConnect). In Australia, the move creates an AUD $8million business comprising forty consultants specialising in environmental, health and safety, risk management and corporate services. Ark provides strategic risk management and health and safety services throughout Australasia, working with global clients such as Telstra, National Australia Bank, Coles Myer, Melbourne Water and Pacific Hydro. RES, established in 2003 by a team of ex-ERM consultants, specialises in environmental investigations, land remediation and environmental management. RegConnect, is a well established brand name that delivers internationally renowned, on-line environmental regulatory tracking services to the global electronics and textile industries. The combined businesses will operate primarily out of Sydney and Melbourne, with other offices in Brisbane and Northern NSW, West Australia.
