| Atkins on board to assist deliver Broadband Wales Atkins, the largest engineering consultancy in the UK, has been appointed by the Welsh Assembly Government to provide on-site technical support for the advance deployment of communication infrastructure on a number of strategic business parks across Wales. The work being undertaken by Atkins' Telecoms division will pave the way for the Assembly's recently announced multi-million pound investment in the FibreSpeed project, which is now entering into its procurement phase. FibreSpeed, part of the Broadband Wales Programme, will provide an Open Access Network for North Wales.
