| New metal thermocouples from Athena Controls Athena Controls has announced availability of their Noble Thermocouples for a diverse range of industrial temperature measurement applications. Nobel Type R, S and B assemblies can be used where temperatures exceed the upper limits of base metal thermocouples to 1760șC, or for more precise measurements at lower temperatures. Due to their calibration stability, they can also be used as reference standards to calibrate working standards. The assemblies are available with ceramic primary protection tubes, or combinations of ceramic primary protection tubes with ceramic, metal/ceramic or metal secondary tubes.
