| Silicone splicing tape for silicone-coated substrates Scapa Industrial has introduced Scapa 1640, a silicone splicing tape designed for use on silicone-coated substrates. The product can also be used as a high temperature protective wrap on idler rolls that come into direct contact with non-silicone adhesives in the converting process. Scapa 1640 is a polyester film, single coated with 1.5 mils of silicone adhesive and supplied with an embossed plastic release liner. The product unwinds smoothly and easily, and removes cleanly without leaving adhesive residue. Scapa 1640 can be used for a wide range of converting and general industrial splicing applications, and is excellent for splicing silicone-coated backings and non-silicone adhesive coated tapes and labels. Scapa North America develops innovative specialty adhesive films, tapes and compounds for a range of markets. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
