| Ian Thomas appointed OBE for services to British business Amec plc said that Ian Thomas, Business Development Director, has been appointed Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) by The Queen in Her Majesty's Birthday Honours List 2006 for services to British business interests in South-East Asia. Ian has worked in South-East Asia on behalf of Amec for almost ten years and has advised Her Majesty's Government on Asia Pacific trade and investment during this period.
