A new range of decorative glasses from Glaverbel

Glaverbel launched the Matelac range of coloured glasses. Designed for use in contemporary furniture and wall coverings, this rich range of 12 colours creates an opaque, satin-finish appearance where the glass merges seamlessly with its surroundings. Matelac is a float glass with one painted side and one acid-etched side. Highly prized by interior designers and architects for its soft, satin-finish appearance, Matelac brings a colourful touch of sophistication. Silver and metallic shades are back. Matelac glass is primarily designed for use in furniture: tables, shelves, fixed and sliding doors for cupboards and wardrobes, glass display cases and base units.

Matelac is now the ideal choice for a wide range of places, such as restaurants, shops, kitchens, living rooms or bathrooms. Matelac is stain resistant; the acid-etched side can be cleaned with clear water. No special cleaning products are required. Matelac also comes in a special safety version called 'Safe'. A polypropylene film is applied to the varnished side of the glass which protects the paint from scratches and prevents injury should the glass break.
