Fluor recognized for equal employment opportunity

Fluor Corporation was awarded the Freedom to Compete Award by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the federal government agency responsible for enforcing the nation's anti-discrimination laws in the workplace.

Fluor was recognized for its Mentoring Circles Program at its Houston office where a diverse group of employees is given exposure to members of Fluor's senior leadership in a team-based setting that allows for mentoring, information sharing, informal conversations and learning across the circle. This process is intended to further support two-way and collaborative conversations throughout the company.

In Fluor's Houston office, mentoring circles are led by senior executives. Today, there are 24 active mentoring circles in Houston with 210 members.
