Finished Sensor+Test 2006 for just-announced Sensor+Test 2007

At the Sensor+Test, which ended recently in Nuremberg, Germany, 550 exhibitors presented their latest products, developments, and trends ranging from microsensors to complete test rigs over an area of 22,000 m2. There were 7, 500 visitors, who obtained information numerous of novelties and had talks in six conferences, held parallel to the high-tech fair, with international experts about the technical and economic future of the industry.

Integrated in the Sensor+Test for the first time, the previously autonomous trade shows MeasComp and O.M.P were able to establish themselves fully. The debut of the Action Area, an entire hall full of dynamic live demonstrations of sensors, measuring and testing equipment in action, turned out to be a visitor magnet with great attraction. The exhibitors used this trade-show feature to present mobile measuring technology, especially in automotives, and had an enormous resonance from the visitors.

Due to the FIFA Word Cup this year, the Sensor+Test was held in Nuremberg at the same time as the two technology fairs PCIM Europe and SMT/Hybrid/Packaging. The exhibitors found this combination to be positive indeed.

With the Sensor Conference, the crash.tech Conference of the TÜV Süd and the CEES Conference for Environmental Simulation, three topical pillars already stand to support the trade fair next year. Combined with the new presentation capabilities in the Action Area, there will be some exciting demonstrations to see.
