| Vinci considers Veolia's proposal to be of a hostile nature French water and waste management company Veolia Environnement has stated in public that it intends to propose an alliance with Vinci, the world leader in concessions and construction. The Board of Directors of Veolia Environnement met in Paris on June 14 and, in view of the convergence between their businesses and the complementarity of their knowhow, has asked its Chairman to consider in the interests of the shareholders the option of a friendly alliance with Vinci. Vinci's view is that an alliance of the two groups would be of no strategic interest, would not create any synergies and would not create value for its shareholders. Veolia Environnement has considered and regrets Vinci's opposition to review the interest of a potential friendly alliance. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
