Flexible cable for potable water applications

C&M Corporation now offers cable designed for potable water applications, specifically for use in community drinking water storage containers. Previously manufactured cables were extremely stiff, making them difficult to work with in the confined spaces of water vessels. The increased flexibility provided by C&M's new cable makes delivery of power and signals controlling regulators and sensing devices inside community drinking water storage containers considerably easier. Designed to meet the requirements established in NSF/ANSI Standard 61, the cable also meets RoHS standards.

The cable jacket does not leach compounds into the water and is resistant to both UV rays and the chemicals used in the disinfecting of community water storage tanks.

The increased flexibility of the cable is achieved through the use of a waterproof thermoplastic rubber jacketing material versus traditional polyethylene. The cable also uses water blocking technology for an added level of security.
