| Aerodynamics event to honour former Halcrow partner The International Symposium on the Aerodynamics and Ventilation of Vehicle Tunnels to be held from the 11 - 13 July 2006 at Portoroz, Slovenia. Sponsored by Halcrow, the lecture will be given in tribute to Sir Alan Muir-Wood, who was a senior partner with the company from 1979 to 1984, as well as president of the Institution of Civil Engineers from 1977 to 1978 and a renowned tunnelling expert. The event is being organised by the BHR Group, an independent research and technology organisation. The first Symposium on the Aerodynamics and Ventilation of Vehicle Tunnels was held in 1973.
