| Saint-Gobain in the Primitives Arts Museum The Quai Branly Museum in Paris opens its doors to the public on June 23rd 2006. Designed by Jean Nouvel, it will be exhibiting diverse works of Primitives Arts. Some 3500 pieces will be shown throughout its 3900 m² surface area. Various materials from Saint-Gobain have been used in the construction of this building. Saint-Gobain Glass has supplied 2600m² of laminated SGG STADIP glass in 180 panels of 6 metres by 2.40 metres each, providing valuable sound protection. This entirely transparent glass palisade stretches 200 metres along the curve of the Seine and stands 12 metres high. This glass frontage also displays information on the museum. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
