| Fluor Dedicates New Global Headquarters in Texas Engineering and construction giant Fluor Corporation officially dedicated its new global corporate headquarters in Irving, Texas. According to Fortune magazine, with Fluor's relocation to D/FW in 2006, Texas now claims more Fortune 500 company headquarters than any other state in the union, ahead of New York and California. The build-to-suit corporate headquarters was constructed on a 26-acre property located in the Las Colinas business district of Irving, Texas. The 140,000-square-foot, three-story, dual-wing corporate building was constructed in approximately eight months. Similar projects usually require a 16-month timeline to complete. Koll Development Company (KDC) served as the developer for the project; Clayco was the contractor; Forum Studio Inc. designed the building; and Gensler designed the interiors. In addition, the project design team included Glenn Engineering, civil engineer; L.A. Fuess Partners Inc., structural engineer; and DFW Consulting Group, electrical and mechanical engineer. Cushman & Wakefield served as the company's relocation site evaluation consultant of record. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
