| Acciona to Build Highway in Asturias Spain's Development Ministry has awarded Acciona Infraestructuras a contract to build the Grado (West)-Doriga section of the A-63 highway between Oviedo and La Espina in Asturias, worth 63.3 million euro, which will be completed in 26 months. The contract involves building a 4.2-kilometre section with a link to the municipality of Doriga, a 1.7-kilometre access road and two roundabouts providing a connection with the N-634 via the AS-15 road. The new route comprises two 7-metre wide lanes, with a 1-metre inside shoulder and a 2.5-metre outside shoulder. The section that will be built by Acciona Infraestructuras will also have a twin tunnel: the left tunnel will be 950 metres long and the right tunnel 920 metres long. It will also have ten structures: a 195-metre viaduct, three overpasses and six underpasses. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
