| Knockout door stands up to high winds For warehousing or distribution facilities at risk from hurricanes, tornadoes or high wind gusts, the new TKO CruiserWeight Dock Door can be combined with a Windload Package for impact resistance and durability to combat damage from forklifts and mother nature. Designed to knock out to prevent damage from forklift impacts, this popular door can withstand positive and negative windload pressures which can help protect product and equipment within the building. The door panels can bear the brunt of what the elements throw up against them, certified to positive pressure of up to 57.3 lb/sq ft and negative pressure of up to 68.3 lb/sq ft. All TKO doors are designed to be impacted, minimizing panel and track damage associated with conventional overhead and sectional doors. There's no downtime due to impact damage to track, panels or hardware. The CruiserWeight offers total knockout protection for applications such as cold storage, food and grocery, 3PL's, and general merchandising. The track on the CruiserWeight is strong and durable. The Cruiserweight panels ride on spring-loaded retractable steel plungers within Ultra High Molecular Weight, UHMW, polyethylene track. When the door is hit the spring loaded plungers retract allowing the panel to knockout minimizing door and track damage. No call to maintenance is needed - simply pull attached cable to reset door, no special tools required. Door is operational quickly. Utilizing the strength of the UHMW track, the Windload equipped CruiserWeight has multiple slide locks. As the storm approaches, the operator engages and secures slide locks on each side of the three lower panels. Once the storm passes, disengage the slide locks and the door is operational again. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
