New in-building wireless system from Akridge

Installation is underway on the new in-building wireless system in a multi-tenant commercial office property. The Homer Building, located in northwest Washington, DC, will offer a comprehensive wireless communications infrastructure.

Through a series of virtually undetectable and wireless antennas installed throughout the property, the in-building system will support all wireless devices throughout the building including cell phones, pagers, PDA's, two-way radios, WiFi, building automation systems and emergency communications frequencies with uninterrupted service. The benefits to this infrastructure extend beyond the convenience of continuous cell phone service for The Homer Building Clients as they pull into the garage, go four levels below grade, into the elevator and up to their offices. It also significantly enhances life safety systems by providing dependable communications for emergency response teams in any part of the building.

Other in-building wireless benefits include the cost efficiencies associated with having just one physical infrastructure to which all building systems connect. This means a reduction of installation costs for new office set-ups or building system upgrades. Clients can purchase a multitude of wireless technologies to use in this new in-building wireless environment.
