SMA America releases the latest Sunny Boy

SMA America has released its new generation design of grid-tied inverter, the Sunny Boy SB3300U. The inverter is targeted for residential applications and adapted to the market trend that uses larger photovoltaic modules. A new innovation is the SB3300's Opticool airflow technology, which draws cool air through the bottom of the enclosure while keeping the power electronics fully sealed and protected. The SB3300 features a built-in meter displaying operational status and the amount of solar energy produced. This new generation Sunny Boy features a sealed, powder-coated cast aluminum enclosure that's lighter than previous models but more rugged, and adaptable to harsh outdoor environments.

In keeping with the Sunny Boy line, the SB3300 offers outstanding real world efficiencies. The new Sunny Boy is fully compatible with SMA's data communications options, including the Sunny Beam and WebBox. The SB3300 has a lightweight and simple mounting backplate that makes it a snap to install.
