| Schaefer introduces rackmount pure sine wave inverter The latest addition to Schaefer's family of pure sine wave inverters is the AEP-1000R Series of 1U, low profile, highly efficient and reliable 1KVA rackmount products. The AEP-1000R Series of pure sine inverters offer benefits over modified or quasi-sine wave units by delivering 'clean' output power for powering sensitive loads and for improving AC equipment performance. The AEP-1000R Series is available in three standard input configurations of 12VDC, 24VDC and the less frequently found 48VDC. Outputs are available in 115 or 230VAC versions, which are regulated to +/-3% or better. A built-in, 4-6ms automatic bypass switch allows for redundant operation from utility power if the DC supply drops out. All models in the AEP-1000R Series feature comprehensive protection circuitry and a digital display to monitor/indicate low input voltage, short circuit, input overvoltage, over temperature, overload and low battery. The display also indicates voltage, amperage, power and temperature. Efficiency is 86 - 92%, depending upon the model selected. Operating temperature is 0 to 50°C. EMI is minimized for reduced impact on other sensitive equipment. The compact, 1U, rackmount design is rugged and ideal for industrial, satellite, military, computer, recreational, marine and general backup power applications.
