Thanks to the outstanding strategic partnership in India, Holcim was able to acquire a substantial stake in Gujarat Ambuja Cements from the founder families at the beginning of the year. Parallel to the developments in India, Holcim has been given the opportunity to acquire a majority shareholding in Huaxin Cement in China. The Board of Directors and Executive Committee expect a further improvement in results in the current financial year.
