| New generation of solid body hydraulic breakers ![]() The new SB design now includes a new floating bushing which is extremely easy to replace. With a solid body design, you have less parts than a traditional breaker because you have neither side bolts nor through bolts to hold side plates together. The new SB's have evenless parts than the first SBC generation making them even more reliable and easier to service. A built-in pressure relief valve is now supplied as standard to prevent using the SB breaker above its recommended operating pressure. Unparalleled reliability has always been the chief attraction of the solid body breakers. For example, the accumulator is now cast into the main body of the breaker and the charge nipple is fully protected. Not only is this a more robust design, but it also means you don't have to unbolt the accumulator before pulling out the hammer mechanism when you're re-sealing the breaker. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
