Universal Laser Systems awarded patent for VersaLaser

Universal Laser Systems announced that it has been awarded U.S. Design Patent No. D517,474 for its VersaLaser laser cutting and engraving system. The patent was awarded for the unique industrial design aesthetic of VersaLaser's external cabinet, which also serves as a Class 1 laser safety enclosure.

VersaLaser is a desktop-sized computer-controlled PC peripheral that employs a CO2 laser for cutting, engraving, and marking operations. VersaLaser can process a wide variety of materials including wood, paper, plastic, metal, leather, fabric, marble, rubber, glass, ceramic and stone. VersaLaser functions like a desktop printer from Windows based graphic software.
