| Lightolier introduces Vetro series of decorative lighting Lightolier has unveiled Vetro, a family of clean architectural lighting pendants that can be either ceiling or wall mounted. The primary Vetro design elements involve opal hand-blown, triplex glass, machined aluminum housings and no visible fasteners. The series includes eleven distinct forms that incorporate the primary design elements as well as variations that encase the fixtures in a layer of clear, polished glass. The primary fixture diffuses light evenly along the length of the glass, while the outer layer generates a subtle glow and occasionally displays reflections if the pendants are used in clusters or rows. The interplay of the two separate layers of glass creates a source of ambient illumination that varies depending on where the light is placed, as well as the angle at which it is viewed. In addition, the Vetro family offers an ADA compliant wall mount fixture designed to match and enhance the suspended pendants, allowing designers to create a consistent look. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
