URS Awarded Contract to Support Missile Self-Defense Program

URS Corporation announced that its EG&G Division has been awarded a re-compete contract with the U.S. Navy to provide management, engineering and technical support services to the Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM)Program Office of the Naval Sea Systems Command in Arlington, Virginia.

RAM is an international program jointly managed by the United States and Germany for development, delivery, maintenance and upgrade of a Ship Self-Defense Weapon System. The RAM Program Office provides management, financial and technical oversight for the development, production and in-service support of the RAM MK-31 Guided Missile Weapons System for both the United States and German Navies.

The contract includes a one-year base period and three one-year option periods. The maximum value of the contract to URS is $11.6 million if all option periods are exercised.
