| New solar power plant utilizing thin-film technology Die Beck Energy GmbH has begun construction of the solar park 'Markt Bibart I' in Markt Bibart, in the Neustadt Aisch administrative district, Germany, in co-operation with Bos.ten AG from Regensburg. It will be the world's largest solar power plant utilizing crystalline thin-film technology. The final output capacity will be 3160kWp, which is enough to power about 1000 private homes. The whole solar power plant will be fitted with Blitzstrom CTS modules manufactured by First Solar, their most significant features being high efficiency, cost effectiveness and a comprehensive end-of-life recycling management. The dc branch of the solar power plant will be operating with 800VDC, thus significantly reducing copper losses. Completion of the project is set for 2007. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
