| Bridgeport introduces steel color-coded cord grips  Bridgeport Fittings introduces a new line of high quality, USA-made steel cord grips. Each fitting is identified by a color-coded grommet that clearly indicates the minimum/maximum cable diameter range for which the connector can be used. Bridgeport's cord grips meet the requirements of rugged service on all types of equipment in all non-hazardous areas. The cord grips' 105ºC-rated neoprene sealing grommets grip the cable jacket firmly but safely providing strain relief and protecting the internal wiring connections from tension on the cable or cord.The steel washer reduces friction between the grommet and the compression nut to provide even pressure distribution, eliminating leakage resulting from grommet distortion. Trade sizes range from ½, ¾ and 1 inch. Larger trade sizes up to 1 and ½ inches, with 90- and 45-degree configurations and aluminum construction, are available upon request. All cord grips feature a compact design that allows for the tight spacing on panels and enclosures. Installation is simple and the cord can be installed without disassembly of the entire fitting. UL Listed and CSA certified. These watertight fittings are designed for both indoor and outdoor applications including chemical and treatment plants and offshore facilities.
