The countdown to Light+Building 2006 has started

Frankfurt am Main, April 24, 2006 — As the programme for world's biggest trade fair for light and architecture Light+Building at Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre takes shape, some figures give rise to optimism. From 23 to 27 April Frankfurt Fair grounds will be hosting more than 830 exhibitors from Germany and more than 1250 exhibitors from across the globe (2004: 819 and 1101, accordingly). Light+Building 2006 will be divided into three main sectors — Lighting, Electrical Engineering, Home and Building Automation.

Held parallel to Light+Building, ACS, Computer Systems in the Architecture, Construction and Engineering Industry, focuses on the entire market for communication and information technology in the building sector and thus enriches the spectrum covered by Light+Building. For the first time, Light+Building will see presentation of leading lighting companies such as Osram, Philips, Siteco and others.

Light+Bilding was formally opened on 23 April in the Paulskirche (St. Paul’s Church) in Frankfurt am Main. The European Architecture+Technology Award ceremony has taken place on the same occasion.
