| WSP Environmental secure Government contract in Hong Kong WSP Environmental has been commissioned by a governmental body in Hong Kong as one of three consultants to spear-head an analysis of air flow around all government funded development in the region. Strategic urban planning and design practices were set out in 2005 in Hong Kong's first 'sustainable development strategy', put forward by the Office of the Chief Secretary. Included in the objectives was reference to the significance of the impact of the built environment on the distribution of air flow. The Committee of Planning and Land Development has agreed that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government (HKSARG) will take a lead and enable WSP to assess air flow and ventilation, producing a micro climate impact assessment on all major government development projects which may have an impact on the macro wind environment. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
