| Bilfinger Berger to take on section of highway in Norway Bilfinger Berger is about to take on its first privately-financed transport project in Scandinavia. In Norway, a consortium under the leadership of the company has been selected as preferred bidder for the financing, design, construction and operation of a 38-kilometer long section of highway. The project volume is expected to be approximately €475 million. The section in question is part of the E 18 highway between Oslo and Kristiansand, one of the country's main traffic connections. After completion, the project company, in which Bilfinger Berger has a 50 percent stake, will take over operation and maintenance of the section over a period of 25 years for a fixed fee from the Norwegian state. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
