| Atkins provides model for local transport delivery Multidisciplinary consultancy Atkins has prepared a 'model' Delivery Report to assist local authorities in England in demonstrating overall progress in implementing their first Local Transport Plans. The report is based on the hypothetical county council of East Newtonshire, which has a range of localities, problems and transport priorities typical of many LTP areas. Atkins was commissioned by DfT to prepare the 'model' delivery report as an aid to help authorities consider what material should be included in their submissions, how it should be presented and how content should relate to the written DfT guidance. It does not aim to provide a prescriptive template, or report on 'perfect' delivery, and authorities are free to choose alternative means of presenting evidence of progress during their first Local Transport Plans provided they comply with the DfT guidance. Delivery reports are due to be submitted to DfT by 31st July 2006. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
