Rochester's Frito-Lay Distribution Center Wins ACEC Award

The American Consulting Engineers Council of New York (ACECNY) has selected Frito-Lay's Rochester, NY Distribution Center to receive a 2006 Diamond Award in the Building/Technology Systems category - the top design award bestowed by ACEC.

The award was presented to Stantec at the organization's annual banquet, in New York City on April 1, 2006. Stantec provided architecture and engineering services for the project.

The center has been certified by the U.S. Green Building Council and granted Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold status, one of the highest energy efficient standards in the industry. It is one of only two buildings in New York to achieve LEED Gold Certification and one of just over 50 in North America.

Stantec's Rochester office serves as its U.S. Northeast headquarters and locally employs 150 employees who provide professional services in architecture, buildings, environmental, transportation, survey and geomatics, and urban land development. The U.S. Northeast region includes six office locations and 325 employees.
