| Atkins acquires MSL Engineering Atkins, Europe's largest multidisciplinary consultancy, announces the acquisition of engineering consultancy MSL Engineering Ltd from the founding shareholders for a cash consideration of £6.8 million. MSL specialises in integrity management of offshore oil and gas installations. It has substantial contracts in the North Sea and the Gulf of Mexico arena. MSL's activities have been supported by the development of a state-of-the-art software tool, known as Fleet Management System (FMS), which will be introduced to Atkins' client base. MSL employs approximately 70 staff with offices in Houston, Texas; Egham, Surrey; and Port of Spain, Trinidad.
