High Technology Novelties at Sensor+Test 2006

More than 500 exhibitors have announced more than one hundred novelties in sensorics, measuring and testing technology at the Sensor+Test 2006 in Nürnberg from 30 May to 1 June 2006.

Highlights this year are topics to be dealt with by two renowned conferences, the OPTO (7th International Conference on Optical Technologies, Optical Sensors and Measuring Techniques) and the IRS2 (9th International Conference on Infrared Sensors and Systems).

Moreover, the already broad spectrum of offers at the Sensor+Test in the area of measuring systems is complemented by the integration of the formerly independent MeasComp. Quite a number of novelties presented in this area deal with automotive engineering, so it follows that cars will be shown in action at the Sensor+Test. A dedicated Action Area provides completely new possibilities for demonstrating detection, recording, and analysis of dynamic processes – live in motor vehicles at full speed.

As especially innovative new developments with evident market relevance, six submissions, nominated for the Sensor Innovation Award. A panel of ten jurors from science and industry, chaired by Prof. Dr. Andreas Schütze (University of the Saarland, Saarbrücken), will decide who will receive the 10, 000-euro award bestowed by the AMA Association for Sensor Technology on 30 May 2006 at the opening ceremony.
