New MX Series flowmeters for corrosive fluids

Universal Flow Monitors announces MX Series vane-style flowmeters for monitoring flows of fluids such as corrosive liquids, certain chemicals, seawater, deionized water, acids, caustics and plating solutions. These variable-area flowmeters feature corrosion-resistant construction materials specifically selected for the application. The meter housings are PVC or polysulfone plastic. Wetted internal parts and optional end fittings are 316 stainless steel, titanium, tantalum, monel or Hastelloy C. Seals are Buna N, EPR, Viton or Kalrez. This preconfiguration eliminates the need for compatibility charts.

Each meter is individually calibrated for fluids with the viscosity specified by the customer. Universal Flow Monitors, Inc. also compensates for the fluid's specific gravity.

Vane meters in the MX Series are designed to measure and monitor flows up to 160 GPM. The meters provide local indication of flow rate and are available with a 4-20 mA transmitter for remote readout, recording or data logging. Options include cost-effective alarm systems for immediate notification if flow goes too low.

MX Series corrosion-resistant flowmeters are easy to install, operate and maintain. They mount in line and in any orientation, with no straight pipe runs required. The all-mechanical sensing system directly drives the pointer and remote signaling devices. Line connections can be made into a variety of corrosion-resistant port adapters. The meters are CSA certified and are available with CE marked switches and NIST Traceable calibration certification.
