MWH awarded contract with Nevada wastewater authority

MWH Global has been retained by the Clark County Water Reclamation District (CCWRD) in Nevada to provide program management services for a number of capital improvement projects (CIP) scheduled to be designed and constructed over the next three years.

Upon completion, the improvements will provide additional wastewater conveyance and treatment capacity for the rapidly growing population in the district and will help meet Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) water quality standards. The total program management contract awarded to MWH is $11 million. The CCWRD’s investment in the CIP program is projected to be $961 million over the next five years.

Clark County, home to the world-famous Las Vegas strip, is among the fastest growing places in the nation with a population of approximately 1.8 million. The CCWRD is responsible for wastewater collection, treatment and reclamation in all of the unincorporated areas of Clark County, including the outlying communities of Blue Diamond, Indian Springs, Laughlin, Searchlight, and Overton.
