| Construction Writers Association Will Reach for the Stars Members of the Construction Writers Association will gather in Washington, D.C., May 3-5, 2006, for the association's annual meeting and conference, "Reach for the Stars." Attendees will enjoy a tour to the construction site of the new Air Force Memorial, the CWA Awards dinner, education sessions designed to enhance members' skills, and annual meeting sessions covering construction-related topics, including Construction in Space. CWA's annual meeting is scheduled for Friday morning, May 5. Sessions will include: "The 50th Anniversary of the Interstate, " including information on the related media campaign, to be presented by Matt Jeanneret of the American Road & Transportation Builders Association; "Construction in Space, " to be presented by John Elbon, Boeing Company's program manager for the International Space Station; and "Infrastructure for Aging (Accommodating Those Baby Boomers Again!), " focusing on public and commercial design, to be presented by Paul Morris of Parsons Brinkerhoff. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Construction News :: home page |
